The antiques and the 'excess fund'

I listed two antique ceramics for sale on a specialist collectors website. I was contacted by a man supposedly from Switzerland, who over several emails expressed interest, asked for price and photos, offered to buy with a euro cheque or bank draft and to have the items picked up by his shipping company, and asked for my address and phone contact to get the price from the courier.

The final email said: "I will contact my client in the UK to issue you a cheque of euro for the amount plus 5000 extra so the excess fund will be sent to an orphanage home I use to donate to every month."

I declined his offer.
