Used cars: introduction

Buying a car is normally a fairly straightforward process. But if you're buying a second-hand one, all the information you require will not be in a shiny brochure, so you will need to ask some key questions.

Second-hand cars can be described in a number of ways:

  • Used
  • Nearly-new
  • Second-hand
  • Pre-owned
  • Ex-lease etc
  • Demonstration model

But the one thing that all of these have in common is that someone has used the car before. For this reason, you need to be extra vigilant and well informed about the car's condition.
