Where to go if you have been caught out by a scam

The National Consumer Agency is working to combat scams in Ireland. You can help us by telling us about any scams you, your friends, families or colleagues have experienced. You can contact us by email on haveyoursay@consumerconnect.ie or on our LoCall number 1890 432432.

Scams elsewhere in Europe

If the scam happened somewhere else in Europe, tell the European Consumer Centre. Its website at eccdublin.ie includes a monthly email newsletter warning Irish consumers about scams based elsewhere in Europe.

Contact the Gardai

If you have been approached by someone to take part in something that seems to be a pyramid scheme, you should contact your local Garda station. Also contact the Gardai if you have come across any other kind of scam.

For contact details of your local Garda station, see your local phone book or the Garda website.

Have your say

Tell us about scams you have come across. Use our contact form, or email us at haveyoursay@consumerconnect.ie, or call our LoCall number at 1890 432 432 or phone (01) 402 5555.
