Introduction
This section of ConsumerValue focuses on ways to save money on insurance.
It sets out tips on shopping for insurance generally and then offers specific pointers on how to seek best value in health, car, house, travel, life, mortgage protection and payment protection insurances in particular (see links below).
Note that some insurance, for example, motor insurance, is required by law.
Other types such as payment protection and health insurance are voluntary and the first step in finding value is to decide whether or not the insurance is actually necessary.
