NCA helpline now taking personal finance queries

July 1 2010NCA helpline

The National Consumer Agency (NCA) consumer helpline 1890 432 432* (or +353 1 402 5555) will commence handling consumers' personal finance related queries with effect from 1 July 2010. This will enhance the broad suite of information on consumer products and issues already available from the NCA helpline.

The service provides information about the various types of savings and investment options that exist in the Irish market and the different types of financial products, including cost comparisons of rates, fees and charges. This information can help empower you to make the best financial decisions for your own needs. The helpline does not however give financial advice on your savings and investments and cannot recommend a particular product or service over another.

The Central Bank / Financial Regulator's Helpline 1890 777777 will continue to operate after this date for queries related to their work and functions.

Detailed information is also available online through our personal finance website - itsyourmoney.ie
